The short version

• Your files stay on your device. Tools marked browser-side process everything locally in your browser — files and text you enter are never uploaded to us.
• We do not require accounts and do not collect names, passwords or payment details.
• We use standard analytics to understand which tools are useful, and we show ads to keep the site free. Both may use cookies, described below.

1. Who we are

Toolerax (“we”, “us”) operates the website toolerax.com, a collection of free online tools. This policy applies to everything under that domain.

2. Files and data you process with our tools

The overwhelming majority of Toolerax tools run entirely inside your web browser using client-side technology (JavaScript, Canvas, WebAssembly). When you use these tools, the text you paste, the numbers you enter and the files you open are processed on your own device. They are never transmitted to, stored on, or readable by our servers. Closing the page discards the data.

If we ever add a tool that requires server-side processing (for example, heavy document conversion), the tool page will say so clearly before you upload anything, and uploaded files will be deleted automatically after processing. As of the date above, no tool on the site uploads your files.

A small number of AI-powered tools (such as the background remover) download an open-source model file from a public CDN the first time you use them. The model runs locally in your browser — your image is not sent anywhere.

3. Information we collect automatically

Like nearly every website, we collect limited, aggregated usage information to understand how the site is used and to keep it fast and secure:

• Analytics — we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, approximate location (country/city derived from IP), device and browser type. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. We do not see the content you process in any tool.
• Server and security logs — our hosting and CDN providers (such as Vercel and Cloudflare) may log IP addresses and request metadata for security, abuse prevention and performance. These logs are retained only briefly.

4. Cookies and local storage

• Preferences— your theme choice (light/dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to distinguish visits.
• Advertising cookies — set by our advertising partners, described in the next section.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the tools themselves will keep working.

5. Advertising

Toolerax is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. You should know that:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and/or other websites on the internet.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some other third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info.

6. Information you send us directly

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to improve the site, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete the correspondence at any time.

7. Children’s privacy

Toolerax is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the tools require no account and no personal details, there is normally nothing to collect.

8. Your rights

Because we hold no accounts and no personal profiles, there is usually no personal data for us to show or delete. Where data does exist (for example, an email you sent us), you may request access to it, correction or deletion by contacting contact@toolerax.com. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA under GDPR or California under CCPA), these rights may be guaranteed to you by law.

9. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. The most effective security measure, however, is architectural: data that never leaves your browser cannot be leaked from our servers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, when new server-side tools or ad partners are added). The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted on this page.
